Martini Glass Candles
small text
large text
Project Materials:
• martini glasses
• gel candle wax
• readymade wicks
• paintbrush
• glue gun
• wooden balls
• dowelling
• olive green latex paint

Instructions:
1. Put a small dot of hot glue on the end of the readymade wick and position in the center of the bottom of the martini glass.

2. Prepare your gel wax according to the manufacture's directions.(I like to use a double boiler because it melts the wax slower and it's a little safer.)Use caution when dealing with the hot wax.

3. Once the wax has melted down to liquid form carefully pour it into the martini glass, filling it up.

4. Wrap the wick around a long piece of dowelling and lay the doweling across the rim of the glass.

5. To prepare the skewer with olives, place the wooden balls onto a dowelling and use a bead of hot glue to keep them in place.Paint the wooden balls with the green latex paint.

6. While the wax is still hot take your faux olive skewer, dip it into the wax,and lay it across the rim of the glass so that it hardens into the wax.

7. Let the candle set for about an hour or so and then trim the wick to size.
